In honor of Marine Corps gunners everywhere...

What would a Marine Corps unit be without its ability to close with and destroy the enemy using fire and maneuver?  The machine gun is an important part of that ability.
Here are some drawings of Marine Corps machine gunners I've done over the last few years, posted here as a tribute.

These are amazing sketches. You have a nice touch and lines in your sketches. Thanks for posting and sharing. I will share with my friends and family.

Those are amazing sketches. It's no wonder you were chosen to be a Military artist recording the life and times of battle.

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone.
I'm going to try to post more to this blog in the future, and not just to social media, which has killed the blogosphere!

I met you aboard the USS Wasp during the MV-22 deployment to Iraq in 2007. I was the Combat Cargo Officer aboard her. I told you I had some old combat artist books from the USMC Recruiting Command that came from the Vietnam war era. I still have them and would love for someone like yourself to have them.
